India has got 11 shortlists in Design Lions at the Cannes Lions 2009. While O&M and JWT have two shortlists each. Others who have a shortlist include Cheil Worldwide, Contract, Red Lion, Bates141, Publicis Ambience, Karigari Design and Leo Burnett.
Red Lion’s "Broken Window" for Sulakshan Cricket Academy is a shortlist in the corporate identity schemes-large scale category.
In the posters category, Cheil Worldwide’s “Life’s a playlist” for Samsung India’s MPS Players is a shortlist. Bates 141’s “Short Stories” for T.C.Ghai Author, Karigari Design’s “Soap Cards” for The Backpacker Company and O&M’s “Art Restoration” for Nalini Prabhakar are the shortlists in the stationery category.
Leo Burnett’s “Stainbroidery” for P&G’s Tide has been shortlisted in the point of sale category. JWT’s “Arjuna the Archer” (see picture) for Sulekha.com is a shortlist in the digital design category. In the environmental design: semi-permanent category, JWTs “Street to School” for Balwadi Night School is a shortlist.
O&M’s “Quote-Unquote” for Ogilvy Delhi Interiors and Publicis Ambience’s “Spit Stain Graffiti” for Cancer Patients Aid Association are the shortlists in the environmental design: permanent category.
Contract’s “Cadbury’s Christmas Celebration for the Bind” for Cadbury Celebrations Chocolate is a shortlist in the foods category.
