Cannes 2008: Indians in Direct, Promo shortlist

Eight Indian entries have made it to the Direct Lions shortlist and three Indian entries have been included in the Promo Lions shortlist at the Cannes Lions 2008. Listen to Leo Burnett's Pops' views on Direct shortlist.

The Direct shortlist includes Leo Burnett’s ‘Crime Mystery Novel’ for Sony Entertainment Television’s CID TV Show and ‘Visual World’ for Getty Images. ‘Lead India’ for BCCL’s Times of India and ‘Burden’ for Care Foundation’s Child Labour Awareness and ‘RIP Yellow pages’ for Sulekha.com’s online yellow pages by JWT Mumbai have also been shortlisted. The other entries include ‘Help me read this’ for Children Of The World’s Children’s Charity and ‘Anti-piracy’ for Cinema Paradise’ video rental by Contract Advertising India and ‘T-shirt’ for Castrol India’s Motorcycle helmet awareness by O&M Mumbai.
 

Promo shortlist includes ‘Stretch Festival’ for Govt of Pondicherry’s Yoga Festival by JWT, ‘See what they see’ for the Poona School & Home for Blind by ideas@work and ‘Fake traffic police’ for Hindustan Times’ road safety awareness by Ogilvy & Mather.
