Campaign Middle East set for October launch

Dubai-based Motivate Publishing will launch a licensed Middle East edition of Haymarket Media Group’s Campaign magazine in October.

The magazine, based on the UK business title for advertising, commercial media and communications, will include coverage of account moves, personnel developments, creative showcases and media news as well as analysis, comment and in-depth sector reports.

Eric Verdon-Roe, managing director of Haymarket, said: “The launch of Campaign Middle East is welcomed as the creative, advertising and media industry in the region is flourishing. It is one of the few parts of the world which is more or less unaffected by global cut-backs in advertising budgets and Campaign will be an essential ingredient of this growing market.”

Five other licensed editions of Haymarket titles are produced in the Middle East, including PrintWeek and gadget magazine Stuff, which is also published by Motivate Publishing. Their other titles include Gulf Business and a Middle East edition of Hello!.

Ian Fairservice, managing partner of Motivate Publishing, said: “We know there are thousands of readers within the region’s advertising industry who are waiting for Campaign to hit the shelves and we are very much looking forward to this exciting launch.”

Campaign is also published in Romania and India, and the UK edition celebrates its 40th anniversary this October.
