Azmat Jagmag joins Discovery Communications as head of marketing and corporate communications

Moves post an entrepreneurial stint

Discovery Communications India has announced the appointment of Azmat Jagmag as head of marketing and corporate communications. 
 
Jagmag will lead the marketing and communications teams across the network for its 14 channels and OTT brand, Discovery+. She is based in Mumbai and will report to the company’s managing director, South Asia- Megha Tata.
 
Jagmag was previously working as an entrepreneur having founded a content marketing and production specialist company, Masala Chai. Prior to this, she was heading marketing for Zee TV, Zee Cinema and Zee Anmol. 
 
Megha Tata, managing director, Discovery – South Asia, said, “These are exciting times as we strategically step up our investments to take advantage of very dynamic growth in both digital and linear. Azmat brings that rare combination of creative flair, a strong instinct for the Indian millennial and a cutting-edge brand expertise in heading marketing for multiple iconic brands.
