Appies 2012 in Singapore on July 26, 27

At Appies 2012 in Singapore on July 26 and 27, marketers and campaign creators will present their entries before judges and audience via an interactive ‘4-6-10’ format. Each presentation will begin with a four-minute video show reel summarising the campaign, post which there would be a six-minute live presentation on the campaign’s key highlights by the marketers or agency behind the campaign. This will be followed by a 10-minute interactive session, where each campaign will be cross-examined by the judges and audience members.

A hundred of the best marketing campaigns from 16 countries in Asia Pacific will vie for 10 Gold Medals, according to organisers.

Appies 2012 will also host keynote sessions and panel discussions on ‘The Future of Industry’. Marit Kievit, global brand director (Lux) at Unilever and Christiaan ter Steege, director ( digital integration), integrated marketing and communications at Philips Asia Pacific have been announced as keynote speakers at Appies 2012.

Goh Shu Fen, chairperson of the Appies and principal of R3, said, “Think of Appies 2012 as the TED for marketing in Asia, where campaigns that have rewritten marketing cliches are presented live and scrutinised by the best minds in the business.”

The annual Appies is hosted by IAS (Institute of Advertising Singapore), and is supported by the Ad Club Bombay.
