Amitabh Bachchan is the most recognised celebrity in the country, according to the Hansa Research Brand Endorser Report. 
 
The study covered more than 550 celebrities across industries which included films, sports, television, music, social media influencers and more. 
 
Results of the study are tracked on metrics like likability, social media influence, perception, marketing potential, recognition etc. 
 
The study reveals that Big B is perceived as a global personality, self-made, relatable, influencer, fit and energetic, sophisticated and trustworthy, with a recognition score of 92%. 
 
The stated factors are what makes him a compelling brand ambassador for a range of products, the research suggests.   
 
Bachchan leads among the likes of endorsers and actors MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, among others.
 
Praveen Nijhara, chief executive officer,  Hansa Research, said, “Our study Brand Endorser is a holistic and comprehensive assessment of the value that an endorser brings to a brand. The study aids marketers to take informed decisions and improve the overall return of investment (ROI) in celebrity engagement.” 
 
The report is a comprehensive study conducted amongst 5,100 respondents across 36 Indian cities.
