American Eagle unveils ‘Great Jeans for Everyone’ in India

American Eagle has introduced its ‘Great Jeans for Everyone’ campaign in India as part of its continued focus on denim-led everyday style. The initiative features actors Ananya Panday and Lakshya, who join the brand as global ambassadors and represent its effort to strengthen relevance among younger consumers. Directed by Collin D’Cunha and shot by photographer Sasha Jairam, the campaign adopts a warm and understated visual approach that reflects everyday youth culture and places denim at the centre of personal expression.

Panday said the experience felt aligned with her off-screen routine, noting that the jeans offered ease, movement and simplicity. She said the brand’s balance of comfort and style made the collection feel similar to her daily wardrobe. Lakshya highlighted the emphasis on comfort, stating that the jeans felt lived-in from the outset and worked across activities such as shooting, travel and casual wear. He added that the campaign allowed him to maintain his natural on-set presence.

Yatin Athale, brand head of American Eagle India, said the company continues to shape global conversations around jeans and sees India as a significant growth market. Athale noted that the partnership with Panday and Lakshya supports the brand’s objective of staying culturally relevant and deepening its connection with Indian consumers. As the brand completes seven years in India, its focus remains on delivering jeans that fit well, feel comfortable and reflect shifting youth preferences.

The campaign marks a return to essential denim dressing and reinforces the brand’s positioning in fit-centric, versatile jeans. It features the ambassadors in key styles. Panday appears in the Ex Boyfriend Fit and Baggy Wide Leg jeans, while Lakshya is seen in men’s silhouettes such as Original Bootcut and Baggy Loose. These placements underline the emphasis on diversity in fits and the accessibility of the range.

The launch includes an exclusive guest-lister event in Mumbai and will be supported by digital-led media, partnerships and cinema-focused outreach across India. The campaign will extend to select global markets, particularly those with strong Bollywood influence, enabling the brand to leverage cross-market cultural appeal.

American Eagle aims to use the initiative to reinforce its denim heritage while offering products that align with evolving lifestyle and fashion behaviours. Through the involvement of Panday and Lakshya, the brand intends to anchor its messaging in relatable, everyday wear and broaden engagement across key youth segments.
