Amar Chitra Katha, publishers of Amar Chitra Katha comics, Tinkle Magazine and National Geographic Traveller India, has announced the appointment of  Preeti Vyas as president. The publisher has also signed a licensing deal with FunOKPlease, a venture founded by Vyas.

Anuraag Agarwal, CEO, Amar Chitra Katha, and head - business development, strategy, mergers and acquisitions, Future Group, said, "We are delighted to welcome Preeti on board our management team at ACK. Her rich experience of over 24 years with children's content, retail and publishing industries will help fructify and add momentum to the exciting future plans we have for ACK Media. We are also thrilled to include FunOKPlease in our portfolio of content offering for children. Given their contemporary focus, the titles are a perfect complement to our current offering of mythology and history."

Vyas said, "I am deeply honoured to take on the 'president' mantle of such a legendary Indian institution as ACK. I look forward, with great enthusiasm, to help its iconic brands, AmarChitra Katha and Tinkle, reach even greater heights as they endear themselves to a new generation of young readers. Furthermore, the FunOKPlease team is thrilled to associate with ACK. Their strong marketing, sales and distribution network will enable us to take our unique content to many more young readers across the country."
