Ace Turtle appoints Alok Dubey as chief business officer

Ace turtle has appointed Alok Dubey as chief business officer as the company prepares for its next phase of growth. In this role, Dubey will lead the business vertical overseeing the Lee and Wrangler brands in India and select South Asian markets, reporting directly to chief executive officer Nitin Chhabra.

Dubey is an alumnus of IIM Bangalore and brings more than three decades of experience in retail and brand management. His career includes senior roles at Apparel Group, Reliance Brands, Arvind Fashions, Swatch Group and Titan. His longest tenure was an 18-year period at Arvind Fashions as ceo, where he expanded US Polo Assn and Flying Machine into profitable brands across multiple regions. At Reliance Brands, he launched La Martina and played a key role in turning around Gas Jeans and Vision Express. Most recently, he served as ceo of Apparel Group India, managing the Beverly Hills Polo Club and R&B labels.

Chhabra said Dubey’s expertise in scaling fashion brands in India would be integral to strengthening and growing Lee and Wrangler. Chhabra added that Dubey’s experience and market insight will support the company’s upcoming phase of expansion.

Dubey said he was pleased to join the organisation at an important stage in its development. He noted that Lee and Wrangler hold strong heritage and consumer trust, and that ace turtle’s technology-led retail model and integrated supply chain provide an opportunity to build and scale the brands efficiently.

Ace turtle continues to focus on expanding its vertically integrated, technology-driven retail model and strengthening its portfolio across physical and digital channels. Last month, the company added Amsterdam-based G-STAR to its roster, which already includes Lee and Wrangler.
