Yatra.com continues with the ‘committed’ Khan in new campaign

WATCH the ad film created by McCann Worldgroup Delhi here

Salman Khan returns as the ‘Yatra.com man’ ensuring best deals on the travel portal in the brand's latest campaign. Created by McCann Worldgroup Delhi, this campaign is an extension of the brand’s TV campaign - while the last campaign  focused on Yatra’s best price promise on ticketing, the current campaign assures customers of best deals in holiday packages.

The TVC shows a man getting cozy with a woman, only to be interrupted by the door bell. The woman fears the bell has been rung by her husband and asks the man to hide outside the window. While the man is hiding outside, he is surprised by Khan who pays him a visit. Khan demands a 40 per cent discount for holiday packages to not reveal the man’s antics to the girl’s husband. Apprehensively, the man agrees. The film ends with Khan disclosing that it was him, and not the girl's husband, who had rung the bell.

Pratik Mazumder, head, marketing and strategic relations, Yatra.com, said, “Yatra.com’s new campaign combines the excitement of a traveller with the delight of a hassle-free booking at Yatra.com, offering unmatched deals. In the last two years, Yatra.com as a brand has evolved successfully to create a niche as a one-stop-shop for any travel needs.Post the success of our last campaign, we wanted to highlight the brand promise of leaving no stone unturned in getting our customers the best holiday deals in an entertaining and humorous manner that has become synonymous with Yatra advertising. Abiding by the promise of creating happy travellers, customer satisfaction is our utmost priority. Not only giving them what they are looking for, but also surpassing the expectations have always been the sole motivation for us.”

On the TVC, Ranjeev Vij, general manager,  McCann Worldgroup, Delhi, said, “The campaign is brought about in a humorous way by Salman Khan himself in his real avatar while leveraging from his reel avatar where he is seen as epitome of commitment. The campaign presented him as cool, in-control and a forceful ‘Yatra.com man’ where his sole motive is to get the best price for his customers. Having done it for ticketing, now Salman is out to commit the best holiday packages to Yatra.com customers in yet another humorous commercial."

Besides the TVC, the campaign will also engage travellers through print, online and direct mail initiatives.
