When the sellers of joy become its custodians

Titan’s ‘Humari Diwali’ film spotlights retail staff who keep the festive spirit glowing—even as they spend it behind the counter.

As Diwali lights shimmer across homes and hearts, Titan Company Limited rolled out its new film ‘Humari Diwali’ (Our Diwali), an evocative celebration of the people who make the festival truly memorable — India’s frontline retail staff.

In a season defined by sparkle and sentiment, the company turns the spotlight inward; on the quiet heroes who bring the brand to life every day. Set within Titan Company’s retail stores, the film brings to life the often-unseen moments and beyond-the-job gestures of its retail staff.

From stringing fairy lights and placing marigold garlands to draping sarees and gift-wrapping with care, each gesture reflects their wholehearted commitment to creating a festive atmosphere not just in stores, but in the lives of the families who walk through them.

Ajoy Chawla, chief executive officer, Jewellery Division, Titan Company Limited, said, “At Titan Company, our store teams are not just the face of our brands; they are the soul. While most of us spend festivals and weekends with our families, our retail staff is on ground, enabling joy for others. ‘Humari Diwali’ is a heartfelt acknowledgment of their quiet commitment and the warmth they bring to every interaction.”

“With ‘Humari Diwali’, we wanted to tell a story that goes beyond the usual festive narrative. This campaign is built on a simple but powerful insight — that the most meaningful celebrations are often made possible by those working quietly behind the scenes,” added Sirish Chandrashekar, head - corporate brand at Titan Company Limited.

Maitri Ramkumar, senior creative director-digital at Ogilvy Bangalore shared, “This film highlights the paradox of the festive season. While Diwali is traditionally a time for cherishing meaningful moments with loved ones, it is also a period when many individuals work harder than ever. In a season when brands typically celebrate Diwali moments shared by their customers, Titan Company shifts the focus to honour its dedicated store executives. It has been a joy to bring this narrative to life.”

The film concludes with a simple but powerful message: ‘Celebrating those that make our celebrations special’. This sentiment is brought to life with a touching montage showcasing moments of connection, gratitude, and shared joy as customers respond with warmth, acknowledging the care and kindness they received.

Campaign’s take: This Diwali, Titan turns the camera inward—away from the jingling tills and toward the hands that keep them ringing. ‘Humari Diwali’, the brand’s new film, trades the usual consumer-centric sparkle for a more grounded narrative: the quiet choreography of retail workers who keep India’s festive machine humming.

Shot across Titan’s jewellery, saree, watch, and fragrance stores, the film captures the frontline employees who light diyas, wrap gifts, and help shoppers find the perfect drape or dial, all with smiles that seem both rehearsed and genuine. There’s no trace of self-pity about missing out on family time; instead, the staff appear to live Diwali vicariously through their customers’ excitement.

Creatively, it’s an interesting inversion of festive advertising grammar. While most brands chase cinematic scale or emotional crescendo, Titan builds intimacy through small, human gestures. The visual storytelling feels documentary-like, rooted in realism rather than spectacle.

By turning its lens on those who make retail sparkle, without sermonising or sentimentality, the campaign blurs the line between commerce and care. In doing so, Titan offers a rare Diwali reminder to the industry itself: sometimes, the most resonant stories are found not in the purchase, but in the people behind the counter.
