Weekend Watch: Ronaldo 'sparks brilliance' for Nike ahead of Euro 2016

With Euro 2016 just a few hours away chances are that football is already on your mind. If it isn't, then this Nike film conceptualised by Wieden + Kennedy will definitely do the needful.
 
Titled 'The Switch', the film features Portuguese soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. At a game between England and Portugal, the latter launch a counter attack led by Ronaldo. He crosses the ball in for a goal but misses the celebrations as he falls into the crowd. He bangs his head against a ball boy's. Traits of Ronaldo make their to the boy and vice versa. The duo are surprised to wake up in each other's surroundings. Then they get onto the football field. While the young boy shows special Ronaldo traits on the field, the star's magical touch is missing. The boy rises to stardom and makes his way up the ladder and earns a move to Manchester City. Then, he makes the England national team and squares off against Portugal and Ronaldo again. The duo set up goals for team mates in the game before having one more collision. The film ends with Nike's '#SparkBrilliance' message.
