Star Sports brings Ranveer Singh and Premier League as antidote to 'boring Sunday nights'

Watch the film conceptualised by the in-house team at Star Sports

Star Sports has released a promo for the ongoing Premier League season.

Conceptualised by the in-house team, the film features the Premier League's brand ambassador in India, Ranveer Singh. It shows a man frustrated by the fact that the weekend is coming to an end, and he is dreading his return to work on Monday. Singh appears in his superhero avatar to rescue his evening by turning on the television and putting on a Premier League game.

Sanjog Gupta, head – sports, Star and Disney India, said, “India has strong pockets of passion for Football and the Premier League has a growing fan base with deep affinity. To continue the growth momentum, we feel the league's long season needs more frequent apertures for core and casual fans to engage more deeply with it. The viewing-friendly, Sunday night prime-time slot will witness some of the biggest games through the season and 'Sunday Night Football' will serve as the unmissable weekly destination for all PL and football fans."
