Asian Paints has rolled out a film featuring brand ambassador Ranbir Kapoor alongside actor Manoj Pahwa to showcase the offerings of its SmartCare Damp Proof product.

The film has been conceptualised by Ogilvy. It shows Kapoor visiting Pahwa to engage in a qawwali session. It opens with the duo in battle in 2021, during which a leaky roof at Pahwa's residence damages Kapoor's sherwani. Pahwa narrates how he had waterproofed his roof but that didn't help. A similar encounter is faced in 2022 as well. Then in 2023, Kapoor and his crew enter his residence in windcheaters, only to be pleasantly surprised with no leakage. Pahwa narrates that Asian Paints' SmartCare Damp Proof has helped.

Amit Syngle, MD and CEO, Asian Paints, said, “For decades, through our continued devotion, Asian Paints has provided homeowners with innovative solutions to create a cosy, warm and stress-free life at home. Our unwavering commitment to our valued customers is reflected in the solutions we create for the various needs of customers. ‘Asian Paints SmartCare Damp Proof’ offers homeowners a long-lasting solution to the problem of leakage and dampness from terraces. With our latest campaign, we aim at captivating viewers' attention through a Qawwali face-off between star entertainers, Ranbir Kapoor and Manoj Pahwa to emphasise the importance of fixing leakages in a timely manner. Our endeavour is to offer solutions that customers can opt for before the monsoons knock on their door.”
