Prime Video launches a fun campaign to celebrate Father's Day

The campaign illustrates the tired fathers who want to spend time with their families by watching Prime Video but find it difficult to keep their eyes open.

Prime Video, India’s most loved entertainment destination, launched a fun video to celebrate International Father’s Day. In a tongue-in-cheek manner, the film brings to life one of the most common habits of dads across India, like falling asleep in front of the TV.

The one minute twenty two seconds long campaign, named ‘Shaandar Father’s Day,’ is written and conceptualised by Bare Bones Collective. The film features singer Shaan, singing a lullaby for fathers watching TV and struggling to keep their eyes open because of a long day at work. The film uses humour to encourage fathers to take a break, snooze and enjoy their favourite Prime Video shows another day.

The magical lullaby in the film reaches out to every type of dad, from the middle-aged, overworked father, the exhausted new, millennial dad, to the elderly grandfather, each wanting to nap but not wanting to miss out on family time when watching Prime Video.

Only the men can see and hear the soothing lullaby comprising of their favourite shows and characters from Prime Video, which eventually leads to a tug-of-war between the need to sleep and the need to watch the next scene with family. The video ends with families understanding their fathers are tired with a message ‘No hard feelings dads, we know you are tired.’
