PhonePe gives customers a wake-up call to safeguard their privacy

Watch the film here

PhonePe has rolled out a campaign 'what’s in a number' to spotlight the issue of spam calls by insurance providers.

The film is set in a grocery store and showcases customers entering. As the customers begin taking their trolley to shop, a concierge asks them to share their contact details to provide them with a better experience at the store. The concierge explains that it is a mandate to enter the store, and most of the customers oblige. As they move on to shop, a flood of unwanted calls appears on the customers' phones, offering help that matches exactly what they need to buy. Understanding what is happening and annoyed with the calls, they confront the concierge. The concierge reveals they were part of a social experiment to raise awareness about protecting privacy from unwanted motor insurance calls. The film ends with customers sharing their stories about receiving unsolicited calls from insurance companies.
