MMGB 2: Renault drives into village with solar lamps, drives out darkness this Diwali

Watch the activity conceptualised by Law & Kenneth Saatchi & Saatchi here

This festive season, Renault India chose to spread the light through a Renault Diwali Drive initiative.

Conceptualised by Law & Kenneth Saatchi & Saatchi, the activity involved a drive to a remote village, to celebrate the festival with the locals. The auto brand reached out to its social media audience and invited them to participate.

The drive was flagged off from a Renault dealership and made its way to Bheliv Village in Raigad district, Maharashtra, a 110 km drive. The drivers carried sweets, decorations and more to make Diwali special for the people of Bheliv Village. What ensued was warm hospitality and joint celebrations replete with cultural performances.

Most importantly, the drivers carried with them solar lamps. While the village has electricity, its residents couldn't afford the bills. The solar lamps will light up their nights well beyond the festival of lights.
