FlipFlop celebrates Akhil Akkineni's drive for individuality

Watch the film conceptualised by What Are You Saying here

FitFlop has rolled out a campaign ‘for people who move’, featuring actor Akhil Akkineni, with an aim to spotlight game-changers who challenged the status quo, shattered conventions, and redefined the essence of success at every step.

Conceptualised by What Are You Saying (W.A.Y.S.), the film illustrates how Akkineni despite having familial ties in the business, sought to establish a distinctive identity and thrive as an actor on his own merit. Akkineni recounts his dedicated efforts, reminiscent of any aspiring newcomer, in earning recognition based on his talent and perseverance. Rather than relying on nepotism, he emphasises the importance of hard work and individual accomplishment in building his reputation and standing out in the competitive realm of entertainment.

Deepika Deepti, senior vice president marketing, Metro Brands, said, “With the narrative of ‘for people who move’, we want to narrate stories of icons who move the world forward in their extraordinary ways and broke through boundaries. We hope this campaign inspires people to be on the move, challenge limits and forge new paths. Whether you move behind the scenes with courage, defy all odds, steer important conversations, or preserve a legacy, FitFlop provides you with footwear that blends comfort and style seamlessly. FitFlop’s footwear range is not only fashion forward but also engineered with technology to provide exceptional comfort for those who are constantly on the move.”
