Pepsi, the title sponsor of the Indian Premier League, has released the latest instalment of its ‘Oh yes abhi’ campaign. This film features brand ambassador Priyanka Chopra along with Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Chris Gayle.
The film created by Taproot India goes on air today. It continues with the thought of fans supporting multiple teams. In the film, Chopra is shown as a fan of the Chennai Super Kings. She’s shown leading her followers to a temple to pray for her team. She then encounters Gayle in a RCB jersey with a Pepsi bottle in hand. He tempts Chopra with the bottle and convinces her to turn into a RCB fan.
On the film, Homi Battiwalla, senior director – marketing (colas, juices and hydration), PepsiCo India, said, “Our marketing and activation plans launched around the Pepsi IPL have received an excellent response from consumers and the excitement is only slated to build further as the tournament progresses. The second leg of our on-air campaign featuring Chris Gayle and Priyanka Chopra takes forward the insight of fans’ multiple team loyalties and presents it with an irreverent Pepsi twist. We have brought together two of the brightest stars from Bollywood and cricket in this film and are confident that the consumers will enjoy it”.
Other than the TVC, Pepsi has launched initiatives like Fan Can and Pepsi VIP Box for the tournament. The brand will soon launch ‘The Pepsi World App’, an app that will be available across android and IOS devices. It will give users access to live social feeds, let them play games to win access to the Pepsi VIP Box and allow them to download wallpapers/ringtones.
