Acer signs Anushka Sharma 
 
Acer has announced the appointment of Anushka Sharma as its brand ambassador. Sharma will feature for offline and online campaigns for the brand’s range of computing products.
 
Budweiser ‘Always Brewing’ festival
 
The beer brand, as part of its ‘Always Brewing’ campaign, is bringing to India an 'Electric Daisy Carnival' (EDM festival) on 12 and 13 November 2016 at the Buddh International Circuit in Noida. The festival will see performances from over 40 International and Indian artistes.
 
Digital Republik to develop Firestone’s website 
 
Digital Republik has bagged the website development mandate of Firestone. Firestone is a tyre brand that recently launched in India. The brand, now part of the Bridgestone Group, was founded 116 years ago in the USA.
 
DigitasLBi announces elevations
 
  
 
DigitasLBi has elevated Mark McDonald (pictured left), Sabah Iqbal (centre) and Pooja Gosain (right) to head of creative, head of account management and senior creative director respectively. McDonald and Iqbal will continue to report into Prithviraj Banerjee, head of agency, in their new roles. Gosain will continue to report into McDonald.
 
Liqvd Asia bags digital duties of Stylam Industries
 
Liqvd Asia has won the digital mandate for Stylam Industries following a multi-agency pitch. The company is a Panchkula-based manufacturer and exporter of laminates, exterior cladding and exterior flooring.
 
Rage Communications wins Vitbits’ digital mandate
 
Rage Communications has bagged the digital business of Wallace Pharma’s OTC vitamins brand VitBits. VitBits is a chewable multi-vitamin jelly aimed at children.
 
Mirum to handle Global Citizen Festival 
 
Mirum India has bagged the digital and social media mandates of Global Citizen Festival India, post a multi-agency pitch. The festival will be hosted on 19 November 2016 in Mumbai with Coldplay, Jay Z and Indian artistes. The agency has also developed a website hosting contests. A video to promote the festival has been rolled out too, created by McCann Erickson.

 
Tata Motors ropes in Suresh Rangarajan
 
Tata Motors has roped in Suresh Rangarajan as head of corporate communications. He will be on the executive committee and will report to MD Guenter Butschek. Rangarajan moves from Vodafone, where too he headed the communications mandate.  
 
ZEE forays into radio in UAE
 
Zee Entertainment Enterprises announced its foray into radio with the acquisition of UAE’s Hum FM. The Hindi and Urdu language station was previously owned and operated by Shamal Media Services. The station forms a part of Umm Al Quwain Broadcasting Network, informed an official statement.
