On to other sports. The Australian Open reaches its climax this weekend. None of the Indian players are in the reckoning any longer, but there’s plenty of great tennis to look forward to. The big names in the men’s competition have dominated the tournament so far, with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray in contention. David Ferrer, the fourth seed, has also kept has date with the semi-finals.Catch the final on Sunday.

The women’s singles haven’t been that straightforward though. Second seed Maria Sharapova and third seed Serena Williams bowed out. The final will see top seed Victoria Azarenka take on Li Na on Saturday.

Then of course, there’s our national sport that’s been among the headlines thanks to the Hockey India League. The league stage of the tournament continues this weekend.
