Anita Nayyar, who moved to Bennett, Coleman and Company (BCCL) from Havas Media in April 2012, has returned to Havas as chief executive officer for India and South Asia. She had ended her previous stint of five years with Havas Media as chief executive officer, India and Southeast Asia, and had joined BCCL as director, customer strategy. Nayyar confirmed the development to Campaign India. Her last day at BCCL will be 9 August, and she will rejoin Havas Media on 14 August 2012.

Commenting on Nayyar's’s return, Vishnu Mohan, chief executive officer of Havas Media Asia Pacific, said, “We are delighted that Anita has decided to return to the agency. While I met many potential candidates over the last months, when the choice did open up I had no doubt in my mind that she would be the right person to helm the India and South Asia operations. Her network knowledge, prior track record, industry experience and seniority - made it all relatively easy for me to decide who to place my trust in."

On her return, Nayyar said, “While the assignment at BCCL was interesting, I missed the fast paced work environment of a media agency. Guess my heart lies on this side and there could not have been a better assignment than the one I left behind at Havas. I look forward to continuing work with my fantastic team at Havas Media.”

Nayyar has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, and has worked with agencies such as Initiative Media and Ogilvy. She joined Havas Media in 2007, prior to which she had worked with Mudra Communications and Starcom.
