TUS appoints The Reppro for India communications

TUS partners with The Reppro to enhance visibility in India, focusing on industry-linked education and growing demand for engineering and IT programmes.

Technological University of the Shannon has appointed The Reppro as its communications partner in India, as it looks to strengthen institutional visibility and engagement in a market witnessing increased demand for industry-integrated education.

Under the mandate, The Reppro will lead media relations and support TUS’s positioning across education, business and technology media. The partnership is designed to build sustained visibility and establish thought leadership, particularly around engineering and information technology programmes aligned with industry requirements.

The appointment reflects a broader trend among Indian students seeking international education pathways that combine academic learning with practical, industry-linked training. Ireland’s emergence as a European technology hub, hosting the regional headquarters of several global technology companies, adds to its appeal as a destination for students prioritising proximity to innovation ecosystems.

The mandate will focus on articulating TUS’s academic model, highlighting its integration with industry partners and emphasising career outcomes. This aligns with a shift in student decision-making, where programme relevance and employability have become key considerations.

Niall Colgan, head of department of computer and software engineering at Technological University of the Shannon, said, “Engineering and IT education today has to stay closely connected to industry. Our programmes are built with industry partners so that students develop applied skills relevant to global technology environments. India has become an important market for internationally mobile and AI technology talent, and clear communication about our academic model and career outcomes is essential as engagement with Indian students expands.”

TUS operates across seven campuses, with primary locations in Athlone and Limerick, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes developed in collaboration with industry. Its Athlone campus works with companies such as Ericsson, Valeo and Cisco to embed applied learning into its curriculum. The university’s IT portfolio includes specialised MSc programmes in artificial intelligence, cloud native computing, cybersecurity and software engineering, reinforcing its positioning as an industry-aligned institution.

Amit Gupta, founder, The Reppro, said, “India has become one of the most closely watched markets for international technology education. As students look more carefully at career outcomes and industry exposure, universities need to communicate clearly about how their programmes connect with real technology ecosystems. Our role will be to build sustained visibility for TUS and bring greater clarity to the conversation around Engineering and IT pathways linked to Ireland’s innovation economy.”

The mandate highlights the increasing role of strategic communications in the education sector, particularly as global institutions compete for attention in high-growth markets like India. Agencies are expected to play a key role in simplifying complex academic propositions and aligning them with student aspirations.

For The Reppro, the addition of TUS strengthens its portfolio within the education and technology sectors, reflecting rising demand for specialised communication services. As universities expand their outreach, the focus is shifting towards consistent messaging, targeted media engagement and long-term brand building.

Through this partnership, TUS aims to build a clearer and more compelling narrative around its industry-integrated programmes, positioning itself as a relevant choice for Indian students seeking career-focused education within global technology ecosystems.
