Team India superfan, Pepsi 'swag star' Charulata Patel passes away

The 87 year-old who rose to fame during the World Cup 2019 was appointed as 'swag ambassador' by Pepsi

Charulata Patel, the Indian superfan from the 2019 World Cup, passed away on 13 January 2020.  
 
Patel rose to fame when she was spotted by the camera crew blowing a vuvuzela during the India-Bangladesh ODI. 
 
Post the game Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen interacting with Patel and seeking her blessings. A few days after this, Pepsi got Patel involved in its 'swag' campaign by appointing her as 'swag star'.
