Sony TV to telecast KBC4

Sony Entertainment TV will be airing the fourth edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh Bachchan, who hosted the first two seasons of the quiz show has returned to host the show. The third edition was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and each of the first three seasons were aired on STAR Plus. Siddhartha Basu's, Big Synergy will continue to produce the quiz show.

Sony Entertainment TV will be airing the fourth edition of Kaun Banega Crorepati. Amitabh Bachchan, who hosted the first two seasons of the quiz show has returned to host the show. The third edition was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and each of the first three seasons were aired on STAR Plus. Siddhartha Basu's, Big Synergy will continue to produce the quiz show.

Talking to Campaign India, NP Singh, chief operating officer, Sony Entertainment Television, said, "The process to launch KBC has been a gradual one, which has developed over the past three-four months. We spoke to a few houses from a few cities and when we asked ladies about what show a family could sit together and watch, the only show that came to their mind was KBC. Once we got everything sorted out, only one name came to our mind to host the show and that was Amitabh Bachchan. He brings the complete package of fun, knowledge and humour to the show. We will try to make this edition more participative and involve more viewers. The questions for potential contestants will hit the TV sets by August."

Commenting on his return as host for the show, host Amitabh Bachchan, said, "I am delighted to be a part of Kaun Banega Crorepati and I am grateful to Sony Entertainment Television for giving me this opportunity to be a part of a show that is very close to my heart. KBC is a television habit, it brings the whole family together and knowledge is shared in the most interesting and entertaining way. I've always been in touch with my audience and KBC is a great way to engage with them."

The first set of questions for the contestants will go on air in August and with host, Bachchan asking one question on Sony TV for ten days between 9 pm and midnight.
