Samsung Mobiles unveils three new TVCs to promote its offerings

Samsung has released three new TVCs to promote its mobile offerings. Created by Cheil Worldwide South Asia, the TVCs promote the mobile phone handsets Hero 3G, Galaxy Ace and Galaxy Pro.

The idea behind the commercial for Hero 3G is to kill the perception that 3G handsets are expensive, while the two TVCs for Galaxy series phones focused on the voice search capabilities of the handset.

Elaborating on the the thought behind the campaigns, Alok Agrawal, chief operating officer, Cheil Worldwide SW Asia said, “The mobile phone market is undergoing a transformation. Yet again. The two big new trends are obvious. First being the launch of the 3G service and  Second the emergence of Smartphones from being just super premium niche to being more broadbased. Samsung is at the forefront of both these developments. Hero 3G makes highspeed full 3G service accessible to all. Galaxy Ace and Pro make high end android based Smartphone features more accessible.”

“Keeping the trends and new innovations in mind, we felt that it was time to also look at the brand and the category a little differently. Mobile phones are no longer just connectivity devices and the new technologies are going to change the way we use them significantly. For the youth of today technology is fun. We have crafted an overall brand appeal which is youthful and thrilling and not one that just captures the youth lifestyle which a lot of brands tend to do. We have set to  make really advanced technology going into these phones exciting and fun, making it more approachable. This will not only accelerate adoption of technology but will also endear the brand to the consumer. While the ads are for products at very different price points, they appeal to the youth, regardless of what they can afford,” he explained.
