S4 Capital’s Monks Film enters cinema with FIFA documentary

S4 Capital’s Monks Film expands into long-form storytelling with a global documentary tied to FIFA World Cup 2026 and streaming on Disney+.

S4 Capital, through its production arm Monks Film, has announced its entry into premium cinema with the feature documentary ‘Chasing the Dream’, set to stream globally on Disney+. The project, created in collaboration with New Element Media, is positioned around the global cultural significance of the FIFA World Cup 2026.

The documentary reflects a strategic expansion for S4 Capital into long-form, high-impact storytelling, aligning marketing services with entertainment and cultural narratives. Moving beyond traditional sports broadcasting formats, ‘Chasing the Dream’ adopts a ‘heart-first’ storytelling approach, focusing on the emotional and human dimensions of the tournament. The aim is to translate the collective global passion for football into a cinematic experience that resonates with audiences beyond live match coverage.

Produced as a joint venture between Monks Film and New Element Media, the project leverages expertise in global storytelling and branded content. The collaboration includes support from FIFA, enabling deeper access to narratives surrounding the tournament and its participants. This access is expected to enhance authenticity while positioning the film as a culturally immersive property.

Sir Martin Sorrell, executive chairman, S4 Capital, said, “Monks Film is a natural evolution of our model to capitalize on the growth of sports franchises and global branding. By joining forces with the industry’s leading documentary producers, we are creating a new blueprint for high-impact storytelling on a global stage.”

The production is led by Fernando Sulichin, president of New Element Media, whose experience in large-scale cultural storytelling informs the film’s narrative direction. He is joined by Pablo E. Bossi, known for producing ‘Muchachos’, the most-watched documentary in Argentine history. Together, the creative leadership aims to deliver a narrative that combines emotional depth with the scale of a global sporting event.

Sulichin said, “The FIFA World Cup is that rare moment when the world pauses and beats as one. In collaboration with FIFA, we are capturing a global cultural moment that will resonate long after the final whistle.”

The project underscores the growing convergence between branded content, entertainment and sports. By aligning with a globally recognised event and distributing through Disney+, the documentary extends reach across markets while reinforcing the role of content as a brand-building tool. The initiative also reflects how agencies and marketing groups are investing in intellectual property and original storytelling to create long-term value.

Monks, the digital-first operating brand of S4 Capital, continues to position itself at the intersection of marketing, technology and culture. With capabilities spanning creative, data and AI-driven solutions, the move into premium film production signals an evolution towards content ecosystems that integrate brand narratives with entertainment formats.

Further details on creative collaborators and featured participants are expected to be announced as the project progresses towards release. With global distribution secured and a culturally significant subject at its core, ‘Chasing the Dream’ represents a strategic step in redefining how marketing-led organisations engage audiences through cinematic storytelling.
