Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai snared the title of Agency of the Year for India and the subcontinent at the 18th Campaign Asia-Pacific Agency of the Year Awards held in Singapore on 13 December 2011. O&M Mumbai is credited with being the largest Ogilvy office in India, and is the biggest driver and contributor to Ogilvy India’s growth and reputation.

Mindshare Mumbai was declared Media Agency of the Year; one of its core achievements was business revenues growth of 22 percent and value-added services growth of 42 percent.

OgilvyOne Worldwide Mumbai earned the title of Digital Agency of the Year – in a year where the company pulled out all stops to grow overall top-line revenue as well as its top five existing client relationships in India.

Mudra Max won the title of Specialist Agency of the Year, one of its triumphs being the fact that it had operations out of 35 cities, and executed more than 200 campaigns over the 12-month period of eligibility for the award.

In the People Achievement Categories, for India And The Subcontinent, DDB Mudra Group earned greater glory as Madhukar Kamath, group CEO and managing director, was awarded the title of Agency Head of the Year, and Bobby Pawar won the title of Creative Head of the Year for his work at DDB Mudra Group (Pawar will soon be moving to JWT India as chief creative officer and managing partner). Account lead for PepsiCo Foods India at Mindshare, Manish Aggarwal, was declared Account Person of the Year.  Deepa Jatkar of MediaCom Mumbai was awarded the title of Planner/Buyer of the Year.

In the Regional Awards categories, the Holding Company of the Year award went to Omnicom. Network of the Year and Creative Agency Network of the Year was bagged by Ogilvy & Mather Asia-Pacific.

Meanwhile Mindshare Asia-Pacific won Media Agency Network of the Year; while Isobar Asia-Pacific won Digital Agency Network of the Year; and Ogilvy Public Relations Asia-Pacific won the Specialist Agency of the Year.

The Agency of the Year competition is now in its 18th year, recognising inspired leadership, management excellence, outstanding business performance and overall achievements in the region’s advertising and communications industry. With results tabulated by PricewaterhouseCoopers, it is the only event in the region that honours agency performance at both a local and regional level.
