Havas Media Group wins LG Electronics in global alignment

Havas Media Group has been named the media AoR for LG Electronics. An official announcement to the effect was made on 8 August, following the unveiling of LG’s new corporate identity a week prior.

The account moves following a global review. It was handled by MEC in India until the development.

Dominique Delport, global managing director, Havas Media Group, said, “LG is one of the most prestigious and sought-after global electronics brands to go into pitch this year. LG’s passion in using technology to create happier, more satisfying lives for consumers around the world works with our long standing investment into meaning communications with our Meaningful Brands analysis. The LG team also shares our positive energy and ability to change. This win has come at a good time for us all. The development of the Arena network and the current energy and enthusiasm within the Group creates a strong foundation from which to build this important partnership.”

Arena was brought into India during the rebranding of Euro RSCG and MPG as Havas in January 2013.

“We look forward to a fruitful working relationship with Havas Media Group and have high hopes that the energy they bring to the table will be a good match for LG,” said Ki-wan Kim, executive vice president and global marketing officer, LG Electronics.

“This is another large global win for the Havas Media Group and demonstrates the success of our recent ‘digital and data’ integration strategy,” added Alfonso Rodés, CEO, Havas Media Group.
