Green Gold, TG Entertainment partner for Tom Gates licensing

Duo to bring the animation films and merchandise based on Tom Gates, a book series by Liz Pichon to India.

Green Gold Animation, an animation content producer from India and the UK-based TG Entertainment have signed a partnership deal at GAFX 2025 to bring ‘The Brilliant World of Tom Gates’ franchise to India. TG Entertainment produces and manages the audio-visual rights, licensing, and merchandising for The Brilliant World of Tom Gates, the popular book series by Liz Pichon.

Under the terms of the partnership, the duo will explore ways to license and merchandise the animation production of Tom Gates in India and other South Asian markets. Through this partnership, TG Entertainment hopes to strengthen Tom Gates franchise’s global reach.

Green Gold Animation is known in India for its animation series Chhota Bheem and Mighty Little Bheem. The company is now planning to expand into global markets. The partnership will leverage its experience in animation and merchandising to introduce 'Tom Gates' to Indian audiences.

“Building on the legacy in animation, licensing and merchandising for Indian IPs, Green Gold is expanding the scope to include international properties. The introduction of Tom Gates to India is a milestone, and we are eager to see its success,” said Rajiv Chilaka, founder and CEO, Green Gold Animation.

Tom Gates, a book series by Liz Pichon, sold over 1.65 crore copies worldwide. It has been adapted into a three-season series of animation movies. The franchise arrangement will also cover stage-shows, with a tour to UK planned for April 2025.
