Grab that remote: DLF IPL hits screens today

The weekend is upon us once again. This weekend has a LOT to offer for sports lovers worldwide. From the IPL and Hockey World Cup in India to the Grand Prix to be held in Bahrain, there's plenty to look forward to!The third edition of the DLF IPL is on its way and there are four games to be played this weekend. On Saturday, Sachin Tendulkar's Mumbai Indians host Shane Warne's Rajasthan Royals at the CCI. This one's live from 16:00 hrs followed by Punjab hosting the Delhi Daredevils at 20:00 hrs.

The weekend is upon us once again. This weekend has a LOT to offer for sports lovers worldwide. From the IPL and Hockey World Cup in India to the Grand Prix to be held in Bahrain, there's plenty to look forward to!

The third edition of the DLF IPL is on its way and there are four games to be played this weekend. On Saturday, Sachin Tendulkar's Mumbai Indians host Shane Warne's Rajasthan Royals at the CCI. This one's live from 16:00 hrs followed by Punjab hosting the Delhi Daredevils at 20:00 hrs.

On Sunday, the Royal Challengers from Bangalore will travel to Kolkata to take on Sourav Ganguly's brigade at the Eden Gardens. This one's live at 16:00. In the second game of the evening, MS Dhoni's team will kick off their campaign for the season when they host Deccan Chargers. All the games are live on SET Max. If you want to access the games online, you can log onto YouTube and watch the LIVE streaming.

There's more cricket action from New Zealand and West Indies. For early risers, there's the fifth ODI between Australia and New Zealand. This one's live from 06:30 hrs onwards on Saturday on SET Max. On Sunday, West Indies host Zimbabwe in the fifth ODI at Kingstown. This one is live on ZEE Sports at 19:00 hrs.

That's not all. The Formula 1 season is here as well. With new rules, new teams and new drivers this season is expected to bring more excitement to the world of motorsport. To add to the excitement for the Indian contingent, Hispania F1 a new team has hired Karun Chandhok as one of their drivers. Force India will try to build on their good end to the last season too. Catch qualifying teams from the Bahrain GP on Saturday, at 16:20 hrs and the race itself on Sunday at 17:15hrs Live on STAR Sports.

Further, there's a full round of Barclays Premier League action this weekend. The action for the weekend kicks off in North London as Tottenham Hotspurs host Blackburn Rovers at 18:10 hrs. This is followed by Chelsea hosting West Ham United at 20:25 hrs. In the evening's late kick off, the in-form Gunners will play struggling Hull City. This game kick's off at 22:55 hrs.

On Sunday, Manchester United host Fulham. Action for this one begins at 18:55 hrs. In the second game of the evening, Sunderland play the big spending Manchester City. Kick off from the Stadium of Light is at 21:25 hrs for this game. All the games are Live on ESPN.

It's also time for the Hockey World Cup finals. After demolishing England in the semi's, Germany will face Australia. Catch all the action live from Delhi starting from 17:30 hrs Live on Ten Sports on Saturday.
