DNA will complete three years on July 30, 2008. The daily launched its Ahmedabad and Surat editions less than a year ago and since then has also launched two more editions in Pune and Jaipur.
KU Rao, CEO, DNA, said, “Since our launch with the Mumbai edition, we have gone from strength to strength and have now grown to five editions across the country. DNA has set a scorching rate of expansion for itself in terms of new editions and building a large franchise of readers and advertisers. We are now all set to break into the south market with our upcoming launch in Bangalore.”
To celebrate its third anniversary, the daily will showcase the ‘DNA Book of Lists’ which will cover the city’s 10 best facts. This will be followed with a feature on youth attitudes in Mumbai and opinion columns of global personalities. This will culminate with a list of Mumbai’s 50 most influential people.
R Jagannathan, executive editor, DNA, said, “The paper has been revamped to suit the needs of readers. Our Saturday edition has been redone to bridge the gap between the hectic pace of news through the week and the DNA on Sunday. Our city pages have been fine tuned to give more clarity on all that is happening in the city and how it may affect our readers. We also have completely overhauled DNA Ya, our paper targeted at ‘young adults.’”
