Dentsu Communications appoints Lavanya Anirudh

Dentsu Communications has appointed Lavanya Anirudh as vice president and business head for the Aircel business. Anirudh (pictured) comes from O&M. At Dentsu, she will report to Ruchira Raina, managing director, Dentsu Communications and Dentsu Media. Speaking about her appointment, Anirudh said, "Leaving Ogilvy seems to have been one of the most difficult decisions of my life. However, I left since I was enticed by the role and opportunity that this move to Dentsu would provide: a foray into the telecom industry."

Anirudh began her career at iB&W Communications and later moved to Percept Chuo Senko (now Hakuhodo) to launch Honda Siel Cars in India. She then moved to O&M, where she was associated with brands such as Dabur, Max New York Life and Grasim Suitings.
