Colors announces two new prime time fiction shows

Colors has announced the launch of two new fiction shows to fill the prime time band, once the third season of Bigg Boss gets over. The shows, Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam and Laagi Tujhse Lagan, will debut on the channel on December 28.

Said Ashwini Yardi, programming head, Colors “Our new show Yeh Pyaar Na Hoga Kam, is a love story set against the backdrop of caste politics and class discrimination still prevalent in our country. Similarly, Laagi Tujhse Lagan, the show is a story of a housemaid who is cursed with an ugly face but is still very optimistic and gets through life with immense cheerfulness. As a channel, we are positive that both these shows will appeal to our audiences who have time and again supported us and appreciated our efforts.”

The channel has given a young feel to the upcoming fiction shows with an aim to attract and engage the youngsters who are Bigg Boss loyalists and expect them to stay on with the new soaps. “Soaps always take more time to build up than reality shows, but we are fairly confident that the new shows will  match and then over time exceed the Bigg Boss TRPs,” added Yardi.
