Classic Marble Company (CMC) has appointed Priye Choudhary as its chief marketing officer, marking a strategic step aimed at strengthening its premium positioning and accelerating its next phase of growth in the luxury surfaces category.
The appointment signals CMC’s intent to build a more cohesive, design-led brand ecosystem across its portfolio, which includes natural marble and engineered surfaces under its flagship brand KalingaStone. The company is focusing on strengthening brand architecture, enhancing consumer engagement, and creating scalable platforms that support long-term business expansion.
In his new role, Choudhary will be responsible for shaping the brand’s evolution as a premium, design-led surfaces company. His mandate includes integrating strategy, storytelling and consumer experience to ensure consistency across brand touchpoints while reinforcing relevance in a design-driven market.
A key focus area will be developing a unified brand architecture that brings together CMC’s diverse offerings under a coherent narrative. This approach is intended to enhance visibility, improve consumer recall and support differentiated positioning in both domestic and international markets.
Choudhary brings close to two decades of experience across leading global and Indian organisations, with a strong background in brand transformation and premiumisation. His previous roles include leadership positions at Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Welspun and Grohe, where he led initiatives spanning repositioning, rebranding and integrated marketing strategy.
Across these roles, he has worked on building consumer-centric brand ecosystems, challenging category conventions and driving growth through insight-led communication. His experience spans large-scale brand transformations and the development of integrated marketing frameworks aimed at aligning business objectives with consumer expectations.
Choudhary has completed executive education programmes at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode, along with programmes at Indian School of Business and MICA Ahmedabad. He is recognised for aligning brand strategy with execution to deliver measurable business impact.
Mohanraj Jagannivasan, chief executive officer, Classic Marble Company, said, “As we scale our presence in the premium surfaces segment, building a differentiated and future-ready brand is a strategic priority. Priye brings a strong ability to integrate strategy, creativity, and execution with precision. His leadership will be instrumental in shaping the next phase of growth for CMC.”
Choudhary, chief marketing officer, said, “I am excited to join Classic Marble Company at a pivotal moment in its journey. With a strong legacy in the surfaces category and iconic offerings across natural marble and its signature engineered brand, KalingaStone, a globally recognised product that blends design, innovation, and aspiration - CMC is well positioned to lead the next phase of category evolution.”
He added, “As a house of brands with a distinctive synergy across natural and engineered surfaces, CMC combines design, material innovation, and evolving consumer needs to shape how premium spaces are imagined and experienced. My focus will be on building a sharper, globally relevant brand narrative, creating a more cohesive brand experience, and driving growth by deepening consumer relevance across India and key international markets, as we continue to build one of the most admired luxury surface brands.”
The appointment reflects CMC’s broader ambition to strengthen its positioning in the premium interiors and surfaces market by aligning design innovation with structured brand-building and consumer engagement strategies.
