After the DLF IPL that concluded last weekend, it’s the ICC World T20 that’s hitting the screens this weekend.

For all those who have got bored of watching these cricketers week in and week out, there’s quite a lot to go catch up on this weekend.

Music

DJ Sasha brings electronic, house and pop from the UK based Grammy award winning band – Dirty Vegas. Catch music from the trio that comprises of Steve Smith, Ben Harris and Paul Harris at Bluefrog in Lower Parel from 10:30 pm onwards on Friday. Entry for the event is Rs. 1500.

Quiz

This Saturday, teams of three will compete against each other in the Landmark quiz. Registrations are open at the Landmark bookstore at Infinity Mall in Andheri and also online on www.landmarkonthenet.com.

Theatre

For all you Delhi-ites out there, there’s Taramandal, a play based on a Satyajit Ray's short story. It starts at 7:30 pm on Friday at the Akshara Theatre, at Baba Kharak Singh Margh. Tickets are available for Rs 200.

In Bangalore , there’s Four Chapters, a play that’s adapted from Tagore’s novel Char Adhyaya. Catch it at the Ranga Shankara at JP Nagar from 7:30 pm onwards on Friday. Tickets are priced at Rs. 100

Festival of Just Peace

There’s a day long carnival of food in Bangalore called the festival of Just Peace on Saturday. Visthar, an NGO is the organizer of this event. There will be discussions on food security as well as the National Food Security bill by activists from the Right to Food campaign. Catch it at Visthar from 10 am onwards .
