BOMBAYDC has appointed Santosh Kumar as associate director – business growth and partnerships (South), as part of its strategy to deepen its presence in South India amid rising demand for enterprise digital products, commerce platforms and AI-enabled experiences. While the firm has worked with clients in the region for years, the growing scale and complexity of mandates has led to the creation of dedicated leadership on the ground.
Kumar brings over 15 years of experience across business growth, digital product strategy, commerce and UI/UX-led transformation. His career spans enterprise organisations, high-growth startups and design-led companies, including Amazon, CX100, Trivialabs, Nxtzeal and Monkey Funky Studios. This background gives him a blend of commercial, product and design expertise aligned with BOMBAYDC’s offering.
Across his career, Kumar has worked closely with enterprise leaders, founders and cross-functional product teams to deliver large-scale digital engagements. His experience spans commerce platforms, websites, mobile applications and end-to-end digital ecosystems. He has led account growth and strategic partnerships for clients such as Amazon, Doha Bank and Analytic Edge, translating complex business requirements into scalable digital products.
To date, BOMBAYDC claims to have completed over 200 large-scale projects, many of which have reportedly delivered 20–50% improvements in outcomes and user satisfaction following platform revamps. The firm also reports over 85% client repeat business, indicating sustained long-term partnerships.
Based in Bangalore, Kumar will focus on building enterprise partnerships, developing sustained revenue pipelines and accelerating growth for BOMBAYDC’s digital product offerings across strategy, UI/UX and experience-led platforms. South India is increasingly becoming a hub for product-first companies and technology-led businesses, making local leadership critical to deeper collaboration.
Siddesh Pednekar, partner and COO, BOMBAYDC, said, “We’ve consistently worked with South India-based clients such as Tata Communications, RMZ, Agilitas, Lotto and Uprio, an AI-powered edtech platform, and over the last year, demand from the region has grown significantly, especially in commerce platforms and AI-enabled digital products. Santosh’s appointment reflects our intent to move closer to these markets with local leadership, deeper collaboration, and long-term partnerships.”
Kumar added, “BOMBAYDC has built a strong reputation for helping brands conceptualise, design, and scale meaningful digital products, especially at the intersection of commerce, AI, and experience design. South India today is where many of India’s most ambitious digital products are being built, and design plays a central role in that growth. I’m excited to be part of BOMBAYDC’s expansion journey and to help build enduring partnerships in this market.”
