Tata Cliq Luxury's head of marketing takes us through what a day in her life looks like

24 hours with... Mohua Das Gupta

Ever wondered what an ideal day in the life of someone from advertising/marketing/media is? We're here to spill the beans on it.

Every Tuesday, we'll have a person from the advertising/marketing/media industry profiled in this section.

Name: Mohua Das Gupta
Job: Head – marketing, Tata Cliq Luxury
Professional mantra: The only goal is to be consistent.
Personal mantra: 'I am enough'

7:00-8:00am: Wake up and brew a cup of coffee. This is how I like to kick-start my day – with a cup of black coffee in hand while browsing news apps for updates. I also take a few minutes to catch up on reading in the morning while also making a list of work that needs to be accomplished for the day.

8:00-9:30am: Get the household up and running. Order the daily essentials, get the house in order, get meals prepped and cooked for the day, and get ready for work. Breakfast is a simple affair and mostly consists of a fruit bowl and a protein shake.

9:30am-1pm: Go over the task list for the day and join daily standup calls with the team to go over revenue, traffic, and other key metrics. Given the daily hustle in the e-commerce industry, I spend a few hours in the morning looking over reports and connecting with different team members to discuss channel performance and interventions for the day.

1:00-1:30pm:  Take a break for lunch and stretch around a bit. On weekdays, I stick to eating home-cooked meals.

1:30-6:30pm: While this schedule varies vastly by the day, given that some days there are reviews with leadership teams or any other connects, largely most of the strategic projects get covered in this part of the day, be it discussions with extended team members on strategic priorities and way forward, meetings with creative and media partners, or connects with other cross-functional teams on projects. A few cups of black coffee and it keeps me going through the day.

6:30-6:45pm: Take stock of the day that went by and how much headway I made during the day on critical deliverables.

7-8pm: About three times a week, I get to my fitness routine for 45 minutes of intense cardio and a core workout that helps me feel a bit more energised at the end of the day.

8-10pm: Back home, dinner is eaten any time between 8 and 8:30. I also catch up with my mom and friends, scroll through Instagram, watch a show on OTT, or listen to some invigorating music.

10:00pm onwards: Spend a few minutes replying to emails that I might have missed and sharing a few email updates with teams. Pick up a book and read for an hour or so before turning in for the day.
