2020 Effie Index: Ogilvy, McCann, The Womb among Indian high-performers

The 10th annual ranking includes brand, marketer, agency holding group, agency network, agency office and independent agency.

2020 Effie Index: Ogilvy, McCann, The Womb among Indian high-performers
The 10th annual Effie Index ranking considers the performance of 4,000 finalists and winning entries in one global, four regional and 46 national Effie Awards competitions held worldwide from 1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019. 
 
Ogilvy India ranks second in the 'Most Effective Agencies' list followed by McCann Worldgroup India. Also in the top 100 are DDB Mudra (18), The Womb (24), Mindshare India (47).
 
In the 'Most Effective Independent Agencies' list, The Womb ranks third. The agency is the only Indian representative on the list. 
 
"Marketing effectiveness matters more than ever, especially in times of economic uncertainty," according to Traci Alford, president and CEO of Effie Worldwide, which is why the 2020 Effie Index is particularly noteworthy.
 
Here are the most effective leaders in their respective categories:

Agency holding group: WPP
Agency network: McCann Worldgroup

Independent agency: Banda
