Big Bazaar salutes young boy’s habit of saving, warms India to ID sale

Watch the ad film conceptualised by DDB Mudra here

Retailer Big Bazaar has launched an ad film promoting its annual Maha Bachat sale during the Independence Day weekend (August 13 to 17). The film has been conceptualised by DDB Mudra.

Set in a traditional house with an open courtyard, it features a young boy observing the rain as it starts dripping down the terracotta-tiled roof. He decides to save some water in a copper glass, which is no match for the downpour. He gets more utensils from the kitchen and lines them up to collect the water. Even after all of them are full, it continues to rain, and he goes back to the kitchen.
This time, he empties a carry bag with the Big Bazaar branding and uses it to collect rainwater. When his mother calls out to him, the drenched boy proudly shows off how much he has saved. Hailing saving as a good habit, a voice over and super announce the Maha Bachat sale.
