Zee promotes Ashish Sehgal as network sales head

Ashish Sehgal has been promoted as network sales head for their broadcast business, at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL). Sehgal will be handling the responsibility, that until recently, was with Joy Chakraborthy, executive director, revenue and niche channels. Chakraborthy has moved out of Zee following a six and half year stint with the company.

Sources from the company confirmed Sehgal's elevation, and also informed that the print (Daily, News & Analaysis or DNA) side of the business will not be handled by him.

Sehgal had joined joined Zee TV in 2006 as branch head, North, for the entire bouquet of channels.

Speaking on his tenure at Zee, Chakraborthy had earlier said , “I am thankful to Zee for giving me the opportunity to explore and broaden my experience in diversified functions. Now as I step out to expand my horizons within the media industry and take a leap of faith to venture into a world beyond Zee, I wish Zee – chairman, Punit as well as my colleagues  – the very best. Since I will be at Zee for some time, I will indeed be ensuring a smooth transition of all my portfolios."
