Starcom launches Sparkle, a summer internship programme

Starcom MediaVest Group (SMG) India has launched Sparkle -its 2010 summer internship programme with 23 trainees across four locations. SMG claims that it has received over 900 applications for summer internship from most of the IIMs, Bajaj Institute-Mumbai and FMS-Delhi. The trainees will be mentored by an experienced professional. The programme is designed to provide for sessions by experts in marketing communications from among SMG’s media partners and clients.

SMG claims that it has received over 900 applications for summer internship from most of the IIMs, Bajaj Institute-Mumbai and FMS-Delhi. The trainees will be mentored by an experienced professional. Commenting on the programme, Ravi Kiran, CEO, South-Asia, Starcom MediaVest Group, said, "The focus on integrated marketing communications has caught the fascination of management students. Capturing of Consumer Attention is a common buzzword in most of the management campuses, and it is this essence which SMG has owned for the past years that is now being echoed across Business schools in India. It is a feeling of pride for SMG India that students from some of the Premium Business Schools in the country prefer it overwhelmingly.”
