Soumitra Karnik moves out of dentsu

Soumitra Karnik, chief creative officer of dentsu India, dentsu Impact and Happy Mcgarrybowen, has quit the agency. Industry sources have confirmed the development to Campaign India
 
Karnik had joined dentsu Impact in 2012 as the national creative director and steadily grew within the system. In July last year, he saw his mandate expanded to include the creative reins at dentsu India and Happy Mcgarrybowen as chief creative officer
 
Prior to joining the dentsu Group, he was running his own creative consultancy, before which he was executive creative director at JWT (now Wunderman Thompson). His next move is unknown as yet.
