Realme calls creative pitch for new smartphone launch

Chinese consumer electronics brand, Realme, has called a creative pitch for its soon-to-be-launched smartphone in India.

Sources close to the development have shared with Campaign India that an assessment of creative agencies is underway to finalise a partner for the upcoming launch.

Campaign India has also learned that the brand has called for a non-retainer pitch for a singular advertising film, suggesting the agency will be chosen on a project-basis.

Campaign understands the pitch is closed and several mainline agencies are in the midst of participating including Innocean Worldwide India, Leo Burnett India, Havas Worldwide India, and Dentsu India.

In March, Realme launched its latest addition to the NARZO series, the realme NARZO 70 Pro 5G that succeeded its predecessor realme NARZO 60 Pro 5G in India.

In 2023, Havas Media Network India, the specialised media arm of Havas India, successfully retained Realme's integrated media mandate following a competitive multi-agency pitch.

Established in 2018, Realme was launched by Sky Li who was formerly associated with OPPO as vice president and head of the overseas business. Three years later, the brand has claimed to have clocked shipments of 100 million smartphones. Realme operates in 61 markets globally, including China, India, Southeast Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Africa.
