Google Maps brings Street View to India in partnership with Tech Mahindra

The Street View feature is available for the city of Bengaluru currently

Google has announced the launch of Street View as an added feature for Google Maps in the country. The feature has been rolled out for the city of Bengaluru currently, with releases in Hyderabad and Kolkata to follow. The next expansion will take Street View to Ahmednagar, Amritstar, Chennai, New Delhi, Mumbai, Nashik, Pune and Vadodara. 
 
Google has partnered with Tech Mahindra for the same. Tech Mahindra licenses street-level imagery to Google for this. 
 
Tech Mahindra will be responsible for GIS (Geographic Information Systems) processes from data creation, resourcing, insights generation, and the actual collection of the street-level imagery.

Over the past few years, Google and Tech Mahindra have partnered in the areas like Google Cloud, engineering, content management, contact centre operations, and network services among others.
