Deadline for submission of entries for Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Awards draws close

The deadline for submission of entries for the Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Awards 2012, is 12 October. The awards will be presented on 9 November 2012 in Mumbai.

Nitin Mathur, senior director and head of marketing, India & South-east Asia, Yahoo!, said, “Online advertising has come a long way from an extension of offline marketing campaigns to becoming a powerful driver of brand engagement. Brands are now looking to explore the unique attributes Internet offers – innovation, flexibility, reach and relevance. India’s digital advertising canvas has witnessed a wide sweep of brilliant ideas and innovative execution. At Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Awards India, we are going to recognize some of the front-runners leading this transformation.”

Last year, the property received 287 entries with participation from 80+ brands and 57 agencies. Categories for this year's awards are: 'Best Use of Display Advertising', 'Best Online Video Advertising', 'Best Use of Social Media', 'Best Use of Technology', 'Best Use of Mobile Advertising', 'Best Use of Search', 'Yahoo! Big Idea Chair Award' and 'Digital 360'.
