Contract Advertising bags Shell Foundation account

Shell Foundation has appointed Contract Advertising as its creative agency. Contract won the business following a multi-agency pitch that involved the participation of seven agencies.

Speaking about the brief given at the time of the pitch, Umesh Shrikhande (pictured), CEO, Contract Advertising said, "The Shell Foundation have embarked on a global initiative, with India as the lead-country,  to address Indoor Air Pollution -- the toxic smoke from people cooking on fires and traditional stoves that kills more than 1.5 million people globally a year. The challenge was to create a campaign for the rural market to create awareness about the IAP issue."

Shrikhande also mentioned that a rural activation campaign for Shell Foundation is scheduled to break sometime in October. The media to be used for the subsequent campaigns has not been finalised yet.
