Breaking news: Maxus, BBDO bag ICI (Paints) India
ICI (Paints) India has handed over its creative and media duties to BBDO and Maxus, respectively.
R K Swamy BBDO and Mudra Connext are the incumbent agencies.

“Both BBDO and Maxus have significant presence within India as well as a global footprint. Additionally, in working with an impressive list of clients, they have demonstrated the quality of their work,” said Hemant Somani, GM-marketing, ICI India. “Maxus will begin its work with us on existing campaigns itself very soon. New campaigns for us, to be created in partnership with BBDO, will come out as and when we have relevant consumer news.”

“Maxus is continuously showcasing its ability to provide a difference in media product through creativity and ideas and can move beyond delivering regular planning and efficiency benchmarks, which anyway is our basic job. We are more than happy to partner Akzonobel in their vision to build a great business in India,” said Ajit Varghese, MD, Maxus India. “Maxus won this account after a pitch process which was participated by the incumbent agency, Mudra, and Mediacom.”

Said Josy Paul, chairman and chief creative officer, BBDO India, “In India, Dulux is an exciting challenger brand with ambitious objectives. We are absolutely thrilled to partner the team at Dulux and play an active role in growing the Dulux brand.”
