Bhuvnesh Chawla joins Waggener Edstrom India

Integrated communications agency Waggener Edstrom Worldwide has made two senior hires in India to support its growth across the country. Bhuvnesh Chawla has joined the team as general manager, North India and country client services director.

In his role, Chawla is responsible for expanding and strengthening Waggener Edstrom India’s presence in North India. As country client services director, he will work with clients to drive strategies that will achieve positive business impact and successfully influence their target audiences. He will also be responsible for customising the agency’s global proprietary Integrated Influence model of consulting to the Indian market.

Waggener Edstrom has also brought in Kim Pinto as account director, based in Mumbai. Pinto will oversee and manage a portfolio of technology and corporate clients.

“Bhuvnesh and Kim’s appointments are important steps towards building a strong India leadership team in realizing our aspirations to becoming the market innovator and leader in Integrated Influence. This seamlessly blends traditional forms of Public Relations with earned, shared and owned digital platforms and tools that enable deeper audience immersion, improved targeting and ROI alignment,” said Madhuri Sen, managing director India, Waggener Edstrom Worldwide.

Chawla has almost two decades of communications experience. Most recently, he worked with Ogilvy Public Relations and was tasked with building and managing its Public Affairs practice. Prior to that, he was the chief marketing officer at Genesis Burson-Marsteller. Pinto joins from Blue Lotus Communications where she was group account director; prior tenures include work with Promax PR as well as ASDA’A Burson-Marsteller.
