Bank of India names Concept Public Relations for corporate communications

Bank of India has awarded its corporate communications mandate to Concept Public Relations with immediate effect, following a multi-agency pitch process. The account will be serviced by Concept Public Relations’ Mumbai office, which will lead strategic counsel and execution across earned media and stakeholder communications.

The appointment reflects the bank’s focus on consolidating its communications approach as it engages with a broad set of stakeholders, including customers, regulators, media, investors and industry participants. Through this mandate, Concept Public Relations will support Bank of India in strengthening its overall communications strategy and ensuring greater consistency in messaging across platforms and channels.

The scope of work includes shaping and managing the bank’s narrative in the public domain, with an emphasis on clarity, accuracy and relevance. Concept Public Relations will be responsible for facilitating media interactions, including live and virtual engagements, as well as managing press announcements and authored content. The agency will also support the bank on wider communications linked to developments within the banking sector and issues that have a direct bearing on Bank of India’s operations and positioning.

By appointing a single communications partner, the bank aims to streamline its external communications and improve coordination across announcements and outreach initiatives. The mandate covers both proactive and reactive communications, enabling the bank to respond to developments in a timely and structured manner while maintaining alignment with its institutional priorities.

From an agency perspective, the win adds a major public sector financial institution to Concept Public Relations’ portfolio. The Mumbai team will draw on its experience across corporate communications, financial services and public affairs to deliver the mandate. The agency will work closely with the bank’s internal teams to ensure that messaging remains consistent with regulatory requirements and organisational objectives.

The banking and financial services sector continues to operate in a complex environment shaped by regulatory oversight, digital transformation and evolving customer expectations. Within this context, clear and well-managed communications play a central role in building trust and credibility. The mandate positions Concept Public Relations to support Bank of India in articulating its perspective on sector developments while reinforcing its institutional identity.

The appointment takes effect immediately, with Concept Public Relations authorised to manage media relations and related communications on behalf of the bank. As the relationship progresses, the focus is expected to remain on creating a coherent communications framework that supports engagement across traditional and digital media, while remaining relevant to a diverse stakeholder base.
